Happy New Year 2011

Hi Guys,

Happy New Year !!

We spent a great evening welcoming 2011. We found a spot in the center of London just outside of Buckingham Palace standing on the steps of the Victoria memorial with wonderful friends from Cheslyn Hay from the Midlands.

We travelled in to London on the train, all free, courtesy of Mayor Johnson. Everyone was in the party mood, great fun

The 9 of us walked the short distance to Buckingham Palace carrying champagne.  From our position, at the top of the Mall, we could see Big Ben strike midnight and then 10 minutes of fireworks over the London Eye. We broke out the champagne in the crisp air and celebrated the start of 2011.

    Sounds awesome Roy, you didn't even mention how freezing cold it must have been. The fireworks look amazing.
