Hi Guy,
We jumped ship in Honolulu on Tuesday 19th. We spent a pleasant day in Oahu visiting the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor and checked into the Hyatt Regency on Waikiki for the night.
They heard that we were on our 50th wedding anniversary and the hotel sent up a bottle of champagne. The room on the 29th floor had a spectacular view of Diamond Head and Waikiki beach, a very nice time. My camera crapped out and Susan insisted that I buy another one in Waikiki as the sales tax is 4 ½%, not 9 ½% as it is in California or 20% as it is in UK.
We are spending the four days that the ship will take to get to San Francisco with our son and his wife in San Francisco. It has been good quality time except for the weather which has not stopped raining. We rejoin the Aurora on Thursday afternoon.
I will more completely update Hawaii and San Francisco in the 3 days that we cruise to Acapulco.
